Gram Panchayat Level Traffic Regulatory Committee

The Gram Panchayat Level Traffic Regulatory Committee is a coordinating body constituted with representatives from various departments to improve traffic management, road safety, and traffic regulation within the Gram Panchayat area.

The Committee functions under the supervision of the District Traffic Regulatory Committee. The Gram Panchayat President serves as the Chairman, and an officer nominated by the District Police Chief serves as the Convener.

Major Responsibilities

  1. Study traffic-related issues within the Gram Panchayat area and provide appropriate recommendations.
  2. Recommend measures to improve road safety.
  3. Suggest solutions for traffic congestion, accident-prone areas, parking issues, and related concerns.
  4. Coordinate with relevant departments regarding road signs, traffic control systems, and safety arrangements.
  5. Facilitate activities to ensure safe and smooth transportation for the public and road users.
  6. Support the implementation of policies and directions issued by the District Traffic Regulatory Committee at the local level.
